Football News – “It’s amazing to be back” – Raul Jimenez delighted with his return after a broken skull

Wolves forward Raul Jimenez said it was “amazing” to be back on the pitch after recovering from his fractured skull.

The 30-year-old Mexican forward was injured against Arsenal last November, and his career was in doubt as the extent of the damage was unclear.

Jimenez played and scored for Wolves against Stoke City last weekend, and will play Molineux for the first time since his injury this Saturday against Celta Vigo.

“It’s amazing to be back after eight months – I feel like it was my first time on a pitch again,” Jimenze said, as reported by The Sun.

“I’m so happy to be back here. When it happened, I got a lot of messages, a lot of support, a lot of love.

“I just want to thank the fans for their support. It’s been a long time since I played my last game and they’ve been there for me from the first minute.

“I have received a lot of cards from people all over the world – from China, Mexico, New Zealand and the UK, a lot of people have messaged me.

“Sometimes I would go for a walk with my wife, daughter and dogs, and people wanted me to get well soon – all this support, all this love that they gave me, it’s really amazing.”

“It’s been a long, long road and a long, long time, but I think I’m fully recovered and the doctor says I’m good to go.”

Jimenez has 31 goals in 66 appearances for Wolves.
