It was a historic night last night at Camp Nou. The Barcelona women have qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League after their victory against Real Madrid.
What made it special was that it was in front of a record crowd of 91,553 fans.

NEWS: Cesar Azpilicueta triggers one-year contract extension with Chelsea
Cesar Azpilicueta has triggered a one-year extension to his contract at Chelsea after appearing in a number of games this season.
The Spaniard’s contract was set to expire this summer and Barcelona are in talks to sign him on a free transfer.
However, a performance-related clause in his existing deal has now been exercised. It is understood he reached the required number of appearances earlier this month to ensure his deal, which was signed in December 2018, was automatically extended until the summer of 2023.

Wolfsburg take early lead against Arsenal
Jill Roord put Wolfsburg ahead after just nine minutes in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final.
Arsenal struggled to get the ball out of their own half.
They’re going to have to work hard if they want to at least find an equalizer.

NEWS: Rangers cancel friendly against rivals Celtic in Australia
Rangers have canceled their November friendly against rivals Celtic.
The Ibrox club announced last month that they would compete in a four-team tournament called the Sydney Super Cup with Celtic and A-League sides Sydney FC and Sydney Wanderers.
It would have been the first time an Old Firm game had taken place on foreign soil.

NEWS: Leicester’s Ndidi ruled out for remainder of season
Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The Nigeria international, 25, required surgery after injuring his knee in Leicester’s 2-1 loss to Rennes in the Europa Conference League on March 17.
Rodgers, speaking ahead of Leicester’s visit to Manchester United, said of Ndidi: “He has undergone surgery and will be looking to return in June. Grandpa Mendy arrived, thought he left last summer but he came back and he was always professional.

NEWS: Liverpool sign Celtic teenager Ben Doak
Liverpool have secured the signing of young Celtic winger Ben Doak for a fee of around £600,000.
Athletic revealed earlier this month that the Premier League title contenders are in pole position to land the highly rated 16-year-old.

NEWS: Premier League confirm reintroduction of five subs
The Premier League have come out in favor of reintroducing five substitutes from the start of the 2022-23 season.
Elite clubs were able to use five substitutes when the Premier League returned in May 2020 after the break due to the coronavirus pandemic.

NEWS: Phillips and Cooper back in contention for Leeds
Both Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are in contention to start for Leeds in Saturday’s game against Southampton.
The pair have not started for Leeds since their 2-2 draw with Brentford on December 5. The duo picked up injuries in that match, picking up hamstring issues.
Head coach Jesse Marsch confirmed that at least one of the two players could play from the start at Elland Road.

NEWS: Sheffield United post £9.5million profit
Sheffield United recorded a profit of £9.5m in the financial year which saw the club relegated from the Premier League, The Athletic can exclusively reveal.
The surplus is the second in a row recorded by United, which made a profit of £17.5m in the 2019-20 financial year.

Saka returns to Arsenal training
But Aaron Ramsdale and Takehiro Tomiyasu will both be doubts for Monday’s game against Crystal Palace.
Saka, 20, tested positive for COVID-19 during the international break, which saw him miss England’s friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast.
Ramsdale missed the 1-0 win over Aston Villa, while 23-year-old right-back Tomiyasu has been out of action since January. Ramsdale has a hip injury, while Tomiyasu suffered strains in both of his calves.

FIFA didn’t offer a biennial World Cup — Gianni Infantino
Gianni Infantino insisted that FIFA had not put forward the idea of a World Cup every two years.
The World Cup is currently played every four years, but former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is now FIFA’s head of global football development, is among those who believe it should be transformed in a biennial tournament.
Fans of the game are happy with the current four-year gap and Infantino said football’s world governing body is not looking to change that.

Ruud van Nistelrooy will replace Roger Schmidt as PSV coach at the end of the season
Former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy will become manager of PSV Eindhoven next season.
Roger Schmidt will step down at the end of the season when his contract expires and Van Nistelrooy has agreed a deal which will last until 2025. He scored 62 goals in 67 league appearances for PSV before joining Manchester United in 2001.
“It’s always been my dream to be PSV head coach,” said Van Nistelrooy, who scored 95 goals in 150 Premier League appearances and won a league title during his time at United. This role will be his first senior executive position.

Manchester United and Liverpool will meet in Thailand as the Premier League duo resume a major pre-season tour for the first time since the COVID-19 outbreak.
The pandemic has kept rivals United and Liverpool from touring their favorite destinations in Australia, Asia and America for the past two summers.
Athleticism revealed in February that Manchester United were due to face Liverpool in pre-season.

Attention now turns to the Premier League with plenty to play for in England’s top flight.
A single point separates leaders Manchester City and second-placed Liverpool, with both sides having nine games to play in the Premier League.
It will be interesting to see who emerges victorious between Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League. They also participate in the FA Cup and the Champions League. Game on.

An incredible feat tonight in women’s football as Barcelona hosted Real Madrid at the Camp Nou.
A world record attendance of 91,553 fans attended the match, making it the highest attended women’s football match.
