Gwinnett’s top junior football teams will be crowned on Saturday with a busy schedule at Tom Riden Stadium in Buford.
Buford hosts the Patsy Jones Championship of the Gwinnett Football League on Saturday, featuring the league’s annual championship games, starting with the 8 a.m. 6-7 finals between Lawrenceville Black and Grayson Gold. The other two first clashes are Grayson v Parkview in the 8-year-old final at 9.45am and Buford Green against Parkview in the 9-year-old final at 11:30 am.
The 10-year-old Championship game at 1:15 p.m. pits Grayson Gold against Dacula, followed by the eighth-year Division II final between Buford and South Gwinnett at 3 p.m. The 4:45 p.m. 11-year-old title game is between Parkview and Grayson Gold, then Parkview and Grayson Gold face off again at 6:30 p.m. for the 12-year-old crown.
There will be a break in the game at 8 p.m. when the GFL Annual Scholarships and Kyle Maynard Awards are presented.
The event concludes with the 8:30 p.m. match between Buford and Duluth for the eighth-year Division I Championship.
