MILWAUKEE (AP) – Giannis Antetokounmpo had 21 points, 19 rebounds and seven assists to help the Milwaukee Bucks resist Oklahoma City’s comeback attempt and beat the Thunder 96-89 on Friday night. Milwaukee never lagged but nearly brought Oklahoma City back from a 20-point deficit. Bobby Portis had 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Bucks. Khris Middleton added 16 points. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City with 17 points.
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) – Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers returned to limited practice on Friday after missing the last two days with a toe injury while he’s getting ready for Sunday’s game in Minnesota. Rodgers did not have a designation on the Packers injury report on Friday. The reigning MVP said on Wednesday that even after missing training that day, he would definitely play against the Vikings. Packers coach Matt LaFleur said on Friday that “he looked good throwing the ball” and added that “I have no doubts he will be in a good position on Sunday”.
WITHOUT DATE (AP) – AJ Dillon jumped so high on his first successful Lambeau Leap that his knees landed on top of the wall and he went the first helmet in the stands. The Green Bay Packers giant running back is just getting started with his oversized jumps. With Aaron Jones sidelined by a knee injury, Dillon will see more action for the NFC North Packers starting this Sunday against Minnesota. Dillon scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter in a 17-0 win over Seattle last Sunday and totaled 218 yards in the last two games.
CHARLESTON, SC (AP) – Tyler Kolek scored 18 points, Justin Lewis added 17 and the unbeaten Marquette recovered from a double-digit deficit for the third game in a row to beat West Virginia 82-71 in the semi-finals of the Charleston Classic. Kam Jones scored 12 points on four 3-pointers for Marquette, who recovered from a double-digit deficit for the third game in a row. Taz Sherman scored 21 points to lead the Mountaineers. The Golden Eagles will face the No. 22 St. Bonaventure in Sunday’s championship game while West Virginia faces Clemson.
