NEWS: UK government changes Chelsea license to allow fans to buy tickets
Chelsea fans will be able to buy tickets for matches again after the UK government amended the license that allowed the club to operate while owner Roman Abramovich is sanctioned.
Under the new licence, supporters will be able to purchase tickets for away matches, with visiting supporters also being able to attend matches at Stamford Bridge. However, the club cannot sell tickets for home matches, only season ticket holders can attend these matches.
Chelsea will be able to sell tickets for Champions League and Women’s Super League home matches.

NEWS: Everton winger Andros Townsend ruled out for the season with ACL injury
Everton winger Andros Townsend will miss the rest of the season after it was confirmed he suffered a serious knee injury in the FA Cup loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The 30-year-old had to retire after 16 minutes of the 4-0 quarter-final defeat, with coach Frank Lampard later saying he feared the worst.
Scans later confirmed that the player, who joined on a free transfer last summer, had damaged his anterior cruciate ligament.
A club statement says he will undergo surgery next week before beginning his rehabilitation with medical staff at Finch Farm.

NEWS: England’s Kane to talk to other national team captains on ‘unified approach’ to Qatar World Cup issues
Harry Kane plans to speak to other international captains about taking a “unified” stance on human rights concerns at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Concerns have been raised about the number of migrant workers who have lost their lives during the construction of stadiums and facilities.
Members of the LGBTQ+ community are also afraid to travel to the Middle East because homosexuality is against the law in Qatar.
England manager Gareth Southgate has said he will seek to educate his players during the March international break, having now gained the knowledge to discuss the matter.

NEWS: Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic signs contract extension until 2026
Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has signed a four-year contract extension with the Italian giants.
Brozovic had entered the final year of his contract with Inter and had been linked with several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 29-year-old was able to sign a pre-contract deal with other clubs in January but no move materialised.
Lier Brozovic is a major boost for Inter, who have had several high-profile first-team departures over the past year. Romelu Lukaku left for Chelsea, Achraf Hakimi joined Paris Saint-Germain and Antonio Conte resigned as manager.

Kulusevski: Juventus were ‘frustrating’ – I have a better relationship with the Spurs coach
Tottenham Hotspur’s Dejan Kulusevski believes he has a better “rapport” with new head coach Antonio Conte after enduring a “frustrating” time at former club Juventus.
Kulusevski joined Tottenham in the January transfer window on an 18-month loan with an option to buy. He had been at Juventus for almost two years, having arrived in Turin from Atalanta.
The 21-year-old made just five league starts under Max Allegri’s return for Juventus in the first half of the season but quickly established himself as a key player for Spurs de Conte, starting their last seven Premier League matches.

NEWS: Manchester United goalkeeper Paul Woolston retires at 23
Manchester United youth goalkeeper Paul Woolston has retired aged 23.
Woolston joined the club from Newcastle United in 2018 and signed a one-year contract extension last summer.
Before signing that extension in July, Woolston underwent two operations in March and April after suffering a hip injury.

Pogba says he suffered from depression under former Manchester United manager Mourinho
Paul Pogba has said he has suffered from depression since playing under Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
Pogba was interviewed by French tabloid Le Figaro, and when asked if he had suffered from depression during his career, he replied: “Completely, and several times in my career.
“I knew I was (depressed), but you don’t talk about it. Sometimes you don’t know you’re depressed. You just want to get away from everyone, be alone. But these are unmistakable signs.
“Personally, it started when I was with Jose Mourinho in Manchester. You wonder. You wonder if it’s your fault, because you’ve never experienced moments like this before in your life.

Dan Purdy returns to Everton as head of scouting and operations
Dan Purdy has joined Everton as head of scouting and operations, taking over a role he left just three months ago.
A key member of former football manager Marcel Brands’ squad, Purdy, together with head of recruitment Gretar Steinsson, decided to leave the club in December along with the Dutchman.
But he has since been convinced to return to Finch Farm as part of new director of football Kevin Thelwell’s restructuring.
