FAIRMONT – Fairmont Area Community Theater is proud to present its second production of the 2021-2022 season, “Consumption habits,” directed by Samantha Rosenberg. Accusations, false identities and romances are unleashed in this traditional farce with bursts of laughter. Two nuns of the Sisters of Perpetual Couture (Ellen Germain, Christine Bauman) secretly make wine to keep the convent doors open, but Paul and Sally (Josh Ensrud, Kaylee Bauman), journalists and former fiancées, are on their heels. They infiltrate as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun (Odessa Stade), sparks paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spread as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves. This spectacular cast is complemented by the talents of Lynne Burgraff, Corey Shoen and Shawn Shoen.

Come see this delicious comedy on the main stage of the Fairmont Opera House October 14-16 at 7 p.m. and October 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are available online at General admission is $ 20 and senior admission is $ 15.
