Man United draw up shortlist of six midfielders, includes four Premier League stars


Manchester United have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of SIX possible midfielders to approach at the end of the season.

Premier League stars Kalvin Phillips, Yves Bissouma, Ruben Neves and John McGinn are among the midfielders the club have scouted.

Without forgetting the starlet of AS Monaco Aurélien Tchouameni and the talent of RB Leipzig Christopher Nkunku.

That’s according to The Telegraph who say these six midfielders are among the players Man United have vetted ahead of a potential transfer.

Bissouma and Neves have sparked interest after their respective performances for Brighton and Wolves, with Liverpool and Arsenal also interested.

Phillips is a wanted man, with Aston Villa considering a summer move.

Man United’s current midfield options include Fred and Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba set to leave Old Trafford this summer.

New Man United boss Ten Hag is likely to cut his squad before adding new talent to his squad.

He is excited about the challenge ahead of him replacing caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick at the end of the season.

“It’s a great honor to be appointed manager of Manchester United and I’m extremely excited about the challenge ahead of us,” the 52-year-old said after the official presentation on Thursday.

“I know the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, and I am absolutely determined to develop a team that can deliver the success it deserves.
