West Ham consider £ 10million transfer approach for Fulham ace

West Ham United are reportedly keen to sign Fulham center-back Tosin Adarabioyo in January, according to a recent claim by an ExWHU employee.

The 24-year-old defender has impressed Whites a lot so far this campaign and is one of the main reasons they are competing for an almost instant return to the Premier League.

Following that, the Hammers have now registered their interest in the ex-Manchester City man, indicating he could be available to sign for £ 10million in the next window.

This is believed to be due to a release clause that was inserted into his contract in 2020 when he originally arrived at Craven Cottage.

Having played 20 games for Fulham in all competitions this season, Adarabioyo has now become a key member of their squad and would be a huge loss if he actually made it through the capital to London Stadium.

The defender currently has two years to complete his contract with the Whites.

The verdict

It would be a big blow for Fulham if they lost Adarabioyo at such a key point in the season and they could now look over their shoulder as West Ham begins to assess a move for the player.

The £ 10million release clause puts them at real risk of losing him for an amount which is not really representative of his real value to the club.

This is something they will be wary of for some time, so in a way there will be hope among fans that a replacement is already in place if the 24-year-old chooses to leave.

Ultimately, the center-back will want to play at the highest level possible, so Fulham will know he won’t be able to stand in his way forever.
